There are definitely great moments, and Slash is now, always was, and ever shall be an amazing, amazing instrumentalist, but this group sounds much closer to STP than GNR. They should have let Sebastian Bach take the gig when they had the chance. Now THAT would be something! I find myself wishing Contraband was better. Contraband was a better album than they marketed it to be. A lot of my friends who aren't into heavy stuff loved "Fall to Pieces" and "Loving the Alien" too. "Do it for the kids" and "Sucker Train Blues" were the other great non-singles in the album. Scott got a second coming and Slash got his show back on!
