VIDEO OF THE DAY: HOLLYWOOD ROSE (AXL AND IZZY)

Before Guns N’ Roses there was Hollywood Rose, a band Axl formed with his longtime friend from Indiana Izzy Stradlin. Don’t know where this video is from, but it sure is funny to see Axl jumping around a stage and running into bushes on the side. Enjoy these clips of “Shadow of Your Love” and “Anything Goes,” both of which would eventually make it into the GN’R repertoire.

    Awesome. The days when he still danced like a kid from kindergarten. Even so, he was probably the only one who knew he would make it big. I wonder what Slash was doing at the time. Probably head-banging in the backyard across the street.

    Great stuff, Izzy was the back bone of the old guns in my opinion and that is why I believe they could not make another appetite after the illusions. Not that the rest of the guys had no talent cuz they did have talent. It was that chemistry and sound that made the old guns was gone with out izzy.
    However, Axl I believe, has definately something going for him self with this new band that have paid thier dues since 1997 playing with axl on this chinese democracy record. Going by the leaked tracks on the internet, it sounds like honestly just that, a new guns n roses. and u know guns n roses is not a bad thing lol. Good luck to them and Axl. He deserves it in my opinion. All axl has taken is shit after shit while slash plays the good guy on everything from a master card commercial to being a guest on animal planet. Guitarist for hire: Slash…. just call 555 – 5555 Can start right away.
