DARK NEW DAY NOT DEAD YET

Despite their disappointing record sales and the fact that all their members seem to be taking money gigs elsewhere (see: Korn, Evansuckence), alt-metal supergroup Dark New Day have assured the world that they will go on. And now, as if to prove it, they’ve posted a new song on their MySpace page, “Hail Mary.”

Our thoughts? The song sounds like… Dark New Day (albeit Dark New Day with a pretty sweet guitar solo). It probably won’t win any new fans, but ought not to alienate any old ones, either (all six of us). It’s not presently clear if this is just an old b-side or an actual new song, but God willing, there’s a legitimate sophomore effort from these dudes on the horizon.
