THE ALBUM OF THE DAY IS… RATT, OUT OF THE CELLAR

c643228348a0c2697b613110_aa240_l.jpgJESUS FUCKING CHRIST, I WISH WE WERE GOING TO ROCKLAHOMA!!! “Round and Round.” “Back for More.” “Wanted Man.” There’s a reason why Ratt aren’t remembered as just one of the first hair metal bands, but also one of the best. This is legitimately sleazy glam rock from the Sunset Strip, made to get fucked up – preferably on a mix of Jack Daniels and, uh, “Splenda”- and defile some underage girl in the back of a pick-up. Fuck YEAH, dude.

This album oozes sleaze! I bought this on tape when it was released and have probably played it end to end over 500 times in ‘84 alone. I saw them in ‘86 open for Poison at Madison Square Garden. Great show, great sleaze fest. Great album.
