Powerman 5000According to a press release on Blabbermouth this morning, Powerman 5000 are set to release a live EP:

“Mixing has begun on some stellar live recordings that we had in the vault!! As soon as we are finished they will be released as an EP and also be available for download. This will be the first official live record from PM5K. Great stuff! Not sure what songs will make the final track listing but we will keep you posted. In the meantime writing continues on new material and we are back on tour next week! See ya on the road…”

Now seriously, who actually gives a shit about this band? I mean, are there fans that actually get excited about a new Powerman 5000 release? For that matter, who the fuck listens to Powerman 5000 (aka White Zombie Jr.)? I don’t think I’ve ever met a Powerman 5000 fan in my life.

    The greatest thing I can say about Powerman 5000 was that they discovered Halfcocked and helped them release their one album The Last Star – which was far superior to anything PM5K has ever done! The guitarist for Halfcocked is actually now in PM5K – but The Last Star is the shit – check it out…
