THE NEW SAMMY HAGAR SONG IS WABO-RIFFIC

Sammy Hagar’s new single “Open” has been posted on his MySpace page. Hagar recently announced a headlining U.S. tour to be opened by Mad Anthony Express, the band of ex-Van Halen bassist and former bandmate Michael Anthony. Mad Anthony Express will play early Van Halen songs and other early rock classics, followed by Hagar’s band Los Tres Gusanos playing early Sammy Hagar songs; and, finally, Hagar and Anthony will perform as The Other Half — as in “the other half of Van Halen” — to perform Hagar-era VAN HALEN tunes.

No word yet on drink specials mixing Cabo Wabo Tequila and Mad Anthony Hot Sauce.
