This Saturday, July 21 marks the 20th anniversary of the release of Guns N’ Roses’ seminal debut album, Appetite for Destruction. We’ll have a retrospective on this monumental work later in the week; in the meantime, someone has done a reasonably good job of splicing together two live performances of the immortal anthem “Sweet Child O’ Mine” – one by the original line-up from the band’s classic performance at The Ritz in NYC in ’88, and one by Axl’s current line-up at last summer’s Inland Invasion in L.A.
