Must is one of the most talented bands out there. While I may not be the biggest, die-hard fan, I doo need my fix every now and again. Matt's vocal range is like no other I have heard. Not only can he hit the high notes, but he keeps them crisp and clear. Amazing.

[...] I don’t know if it’s the work of director Zack Snyder or his marketing peeps that make the decision as to what music will appear in the trailers for his films, but this much is true: the use of metal-friendly bands sure does take this ad campaigns a long way (Iann Robinson has a cameo - as a zombie! - in Snyder’s Dawn of the Dead remake, so at the very least, I assume that Snyder has some knowledge of all things metal.). First there was the trailer for 300, which was practically a Nine Inch Nails video; then there was this summer’s Watchmen teaser, which made use of the Smashing Pumpkins; and now comes the full trailer for Watchmen, which features Muse’s awesome “Take a Bow.” And while Muse isn’t exactly metal, we still think you should care.
[...] Muse recently completed a quick US tour including a Lollapalooza headlining spot in Chicago and a nearly sold out show at New York’s Madison Square Garden (be sure to read our review). The tour inspired a brief spike in record sales, pushing Black Holes and Revelations back into the Top 200 at #181 over a year after the album’s initial release. With 4,061 units sold in the U.S. last week, the stateside total has reached 356,782. [...]

I fuckin love Tool aswell, but Muse is really nothing like them I think. They're both amazing in their own element though...that's for damn sure. Tool just happens to be untouchable...

Nice piece, Vince. Oddly enough, I was just asking a buddy this morning what I'm missing with these guys. They played Lollapalooza this weekend to rave reviews. (missed them myself) I'll give them a closer look. They're often mentioned in the same sentence as Tool, so maybe that's why I've resisted. I fucking LOVE Tool.
