ARE BE’LAKOR THE BEST UNSIGNED BAND IN METAL?

Call Monte Connor! Call Brian Slagel! Call ANYBODY! We run across great unsigned metal bands all the time, but rarely is an act as ready to be called up to the big leagues as Melbourne, Australia’s Be’lakor. Specializing in the same kind of doomy, prog-infused melodic death metal as acts like Insomnium, Agalloch and Daylight Dies, their self-released EP, The Frail Tide, should satisfy both metal nerds and regular nerds: when I Googled their name, I found that “be’lakor” is apparently the name of a daemon (is that the same thing as a demon?) in a fantasy game called Warhammer (which would also make a great name for a metal band… oh, wait). Seriously: this band owns.

You can experience Be’lakor for yourself on their MySpace page, or better yet, click here to download three free mp3s. And seriously, somebody get these dudes a record deal, pronto.
