HEY, REMEMBER MAD SEASON?

I don’t know what made me think of Mad Season, the grunge super-group featuring Layne Staley alongside members of Pearl Jam and the Screaming Trees – but hey, they popped into my head. Here’s their video for “River of Deceit,” which is, honestly, not as good as I remember it. Still, it remains an noteworthy niche in alterna-rock’s history.

Love that record. I listen to it at least once a week.

There are some truly brutal lyrics on there. And the song “Lifeless Dead” makes my nipples hard.

I’m an idiot. I have the whole AIC collection and for some reason never realized this song wasn’t an AIC song and didn’t notice its absence from my collection.
