WATCH VINCE NEIL FORGET THE WORDS (AGAIN) AND HIS DRUMMER STEAL THE SHOW
Wednesday, October 24th, 2007 at 1:40pm by Vince NeilsteinRecently filmed footage of Vince Neil with his solo band performing “Dr. Feelgood” proves that Vince is still adhering to his age-old tradition of getting winded, singing every other word, and letting the audience do the rest. This is old news, but always entertaining. What’s new is the cat on drums, Zoltan Chaney (if anyone knows his past credits, please share) — get a load of this guy — fuckin’ SLAMMIN the shit out of the skins! Hang with it ’til his standup performance (literally) at the end. Someone please get this guy a real gig, pronto.

A little of the twirling and standing up stuff goes a long way with me, but the guy’s got some fuckin’ chops, for sure. I agree that he needs a better gig. Vince Neil has gotten pretty unbearable.
Reminds me of Tommy circa Shout at the Devil. Loved the double bass thrown in the mix!
Oh yeah, Vince just doesn’t care anymore.
Yeah, I think we’ve found the new drummer for Motley Crue here people. Fuck TLee.
Tommy Lee is small.
@ TTquick
I don’t think it’s that Vince Neil doesn’t care. He’s having a good time. He seems to be very fan friendly. He just simply CAN’T DO IT anymore. I suppose you’re right as far as the guy needs some vocal coaching and some serious time on the treadmill, but the guy has been all about playing Crue music for Crue fans (with or without the other Crue members) nonstop for years.
Still lousy though. hahahaaa
The cat who jumped on the stage was a plant to make Vince look thin.
Zoltan and Blando played in a touring band together back in the day. Zoltan is the best drummer ever. If you play drums and think you are cool. Wathc this guy for a bout 30 seconds and you will either go home and practice or quit and use your kit for a campfire.
Shannon Larkin and Danny Carey are laughing at Danny Wilde’s post.
The drummer has some great “tricks.” He kind of looks like a monkey being paid to “perform” in the circus. Does a bunch of smoke and mirrors really equal awesome?
Actually, maybe for a Vince Neil/Motley Crue show, it does.
That makes me wonder, Shnaz….
Which band makes more references to their show being a rock n roll circus, Crue or KISS? Because they both do so, ad nauseum.
i’ve been best of friends with zoltan since 1977, we grew up together, he’s a great guy, loves God and family, but, it cracks me up how douchebags try to critique him in a bad way,and it just looks/sounds like jealousy….grow up…. he’s the greatest drummer i ever saw, and as far as vince? listen to vince 4-5 years ago, compare it to now, he’s the best he’s been in a while…. they collectively are a great band….as for TOMMY LEE:THERE’S A NEW SHERIFF IN TOWN! GOES BY “ZOLTAN”
Brent, your buds got to get into an original band. Love to hear what he can offer on disc.
[...] week we posted some recent live video of Vince Neil up to his old tricks of singing every other word to his songs, and noted how fucking awesome his drummer Zoltan Chaney was (plus, how metal is that name??). You [...]
Vince sounds like what I imagined Bob Dylan would sound like if he went metal.
I personally have not seen a better showman than Zoltan. As I read the post’s,I too had the impression I was watching a circus onstage.I was so mezmerized by Zoltan’s trickery,I barely noticed Vince. As for ability,I am still old school Peart fan.But Zoltan definately got me practicing my spinning, and throwing skills.
[...] reports, but if I were a betting man I’d put money on at least one lyrical fuck-up judging by past history and other past history. The Motley Crue lead singer was scheduled to perform the anthem last night [...]
Vince is the only one that has played MC music non-stop the past 20 years. While Tommy has been doing his rap-rock shit, Nikki’s been doing 18 different side projects and Mick’s just being Mick, it is Vince that has never stopped touring and never stopped playing the music of Motley. His singing sounds exactly as it did the 1st time I heard him on the US Festival years ago. Vince fucking rules.
IRONTON, OHIO IS WHERE THE ZOLTAN GREW UP!! ROCK ON!!!!
