    Here’s my thoughts on this Chinese Democracy situation. Without the original/close to original G’N R band backing Axl, he has cold feet about releasing his solo effort to the wolves. How can he equal or surpass the real
    G ‘N R success? He can’t. With an ego the size of Slash’s drinking problem, he can’t handle failing. We won’t see it in stores until his widow releases it 30 years from now.

    I’ve hit a wall on this. I love GNR, I really do, but how in the world can this be worth the hype–either creatively OR financially? This will have to sell Thriller/Hotel California/Back in Black+ levels of copies to justify the dicking around he’s done for the past goddamn decade, and the market has changed immensely since he’s released even a fart, so chances of that happening are pretty slim. It’ll kill for the first few weeks, but the songs are going to have to be stunning for it to have legs, and nothing I’ve heard so far points in that direction.

    God, what a depressing comment for me to leave.

    Yeah, guess what….all of us, to the man, have listened to fucking There Was a Time each of the countless times it’s been leaked, and it still sounds like Use Your Illusion III : The Worsening, which would be fine if he had RELEASED it (as in “not leaked”) in 1994.

    I’ll give you “Better” though. That’s a kick ass song.

    Oh, and fuck you, dickhead. I’ve released the same amount of music as Axl in the past decade, and I did it for $13 million dollars cheaper. How about being a fanboy for someone who’s actually got something real to discuss. At least Metallica craps something out for us to hate.

    People need to realize that this band has nothing to do with the old gnr.. also why does Axl gets so blamed for not releasing an album… that seems to happen a lot in the music world.. just look at Ozzy.. it took him like 7 years to get another album out… “Black Rain” and the album really sucks…

    Andre, come on Bro! The record was finished like 7 years ago or more. You cant give this guys a pass. He’s released as much music as I have since the official GNR ended. Ozzy’s just old. Cant fault him for that.
