SONG LIST FOR ROCK BAND VIDEO GAME IS HEADBANGER FRIENDLY
Tuesday, October 30th, 2007 at 10:24am by Vince Neilstein
The song list to the upcoming video game Rock Band — you know, like Guitar Hero except for all the instruments in a full rock band — has been released [The Syndicate Blog]. Jams by such headbanger friendly bands as Faith No More, KISS, Black Sabbath, Iron Maiden, Metallica and Nine Inch Nails are confirmed to be included in the game.
We still don’t really understand how the singer part is going to work, but we’re hoping reports are true that you get extra points for flashing the screen while performing Hole’s “Celebrity Skin.”

my guess the singer part is going to work like the PS2 “Karaoke Revolution” games by Konami, where you don’t have to match the lyrics just the pitch and timing??
They have a system that follows the consonant sounds or something. I dunno. It’ll prolly work just fine.
I still hate the majority of the tracklist, so until the downloadable content gets better, I’m sticking to GH3
I just picked up GH3 this weekend, and I gotta say I’m disappointed. It’s too easy to pull off hammer-ons and pull-offs, but if you miss a couple notes in a row you flunk the song. Neversoft screw up the game. Rock Band is the true sequel to GH2.
ya i completely agree with that
Great Aerosmith track to kick it all off rather than going with Emotion, or Walk. I love the song, but I can do without the Beastie Boys “Sabotage”. Weak in the 2000’s. Overall I’m impressed.
