KORN’S DRUM THRONE STARTING TO LOOK A LOT LIKE SPINAL TAP

Monday, November 12th, 2007 at 2:20pm by

Ray LuzierKorn has had so many drummers since the departure of original drummer David Silveria (the one talented member of the band) that it’s beginning to feel a lot like Spinal Tap’s famous spontaneously combustible drummer problem. Since Silveria left the band officially in early 2007 (after a lengthy “hiatus”), the following have lent their drumming talents to the band either on record or on the road: Brooks Wackerman (Bad Religion), Joey Jordison (Slipknot), Terry Bozzio (everyone) and now the latest, Ray Luzier of Army of Anyone and David Lee Roth fame. Even the mighty Luzier can’t save Korn from sucking, and I guess this confirms that Army of Anyone is pretty much dead in the water.

What’s next, a little green globule on the drum seat?

Dude, doesn’t the menu at Silvera’s Steakhouse look pretty tasty though? http://www.silvera-steakhouse.com/food.html

    they should get T-Lee :-P

The band is fucked. Record sales have progressively and quickly declined. It’s coming to an end. Davis’ solo disc is final nail in the coffin.

Korn is not a family by the way. Case in point is this post.

No Josh Freese? Wow, that’s a first ;)

I honestly never found Silveria’s drumming to be all that impressive. With the exception of a few bands, I HATE piccolo snare drums in metal/hard rock bands!! I feel that with a different drummer, Korn wouldn’t have had such a thin bottom end, and I would have been more inclined to listen to more than 30 seconds of their music at a time.

I think it’s a shame so many drummers have gone through this band. I really liked thier music for a while.

trouble is though that your all pretty much try hard retards especially the “piccolo snare” guy, so sorry you think such an original an esoteric band as korn who have redefined an era and smashed the path of many wanna be metal groups prior and to follow has a “thin bottom end” because your clearly better drumming knowledge and talent superseeds the genius of david silveria and the sounds that led to the creation of a whole movement that makes my system rattle windows perhaps you are listening through your grandmas walkman? I love a drummer that can utilize a piccolo snare in a metal band and still sound like the hounds of hell..
they came, they saw, they kicked ass, now they are doing other shit, deal with it
