SHADOWS FALL GET ALL SKID ROW ON US

The Shads let all their ’80s hair influence hang out on their latest single from Threads of Life, the power ballad “Another Hero Lost.” But don’t expect “girl done me wrong” whining; the song is about singer Brian Fair’s cousin who lost his life in Iraq. Hats off to Fair who stands there in this video mouthing the words even though it doesn’t look like he’s singing at all (auto-tune be damned!). But if this single picks up steam, how are they ever going to pull this off live? Anyway, enjoy the video.

Didn’t Korn prove that hair style is just plain wrong on white rock stars? I wonder what rodents and insects are growing in there.

It sounded great live last month

Maybe he’s just a bad lip-syncher. I’m not sure that’s auto-tuned. He’s always a tiny bit off pitch, and this is no different. I’ll give Fair the benefit of the doubt here.

    @ Sammy:

It’s auto-tuned. if you listen to a CD quality version (not the low-quality audio in the video above) there are auto-tune artifacts abound. Fair is not a good singer… good screamer sure, but dude can’t hit a note.

@ Vince: arg. Now I’ll hear it on all my SF songs on iTunes. Fucker.
