TAKE A LEAK: MUDVAYNE, BY THE PEOPLE, FOR THE PEOPLE

I had no intention of posting today, but last night I was taken aback by the discovery of just how many people actually DO have to work today – sucks for you guys – so I thought I’d throw a dog a bone.
The latest from Mudvayne – actually a slapped together collection of random b-sides and whatever, meant to tide over fans while two of the band’s members are off cashin’ it in with Hellno – doesn’t hit stores ’til Tuesday, but Beta Download has it right now. Personally, I don’t think it matters if this album or any other album of Mudvayne’s is any good or not – ’cause they suck live, so what’s the point? And before you Mudvayne fans get pissy, I’ve seen them live twice, and they blew goats both times. So I gave ‘em a shot, alright?

I’m a Mudvayne fan, but the screaming just doesn’t translate well in the live setting. The same can be said about Slipknot.
I like Mudvayne…but holy hell am I glad I didn’t pay money for this piece of shit.
I love Mudvayne (well earlier Mudvayne), the newer cd’s are decent but cant compare to “Dig”. I seen them recently in Cinci and it was one of the best performances I have seen. Maybe it was the small venue feel, but crowd including me was into it bigtime. They must have stepped up their live show since a year ago.
