OASIS COVERING QUIET RIOT COVERING SLADE – “CUM ON FEEL THE NOIZE”

OasisSurprisingly few people know that one of Quiet Riot’s biggest hits “Cum on Feel the Noize” was actually a cover, originally a hit in 1973 by British glam rockers Slade. So the brothers Gallagher of Oasis figured, “Why not cover it again?” Here’s their own version.

I won’t even listen to this. I loathe Oasis.

For a band that mouths off about other bands as much as they do, they sure haven’t done much to prove that they’re anything but 60′s British Invasion wannabes.

Oasis rules. Rumor is Noel is back on the powder, nothing but good can come from that.

  • Sammy says:

    Yeah, what Wayne said!

  • Wayne says:

Yeah, I’m sure that him being on the powder will make any new music these guys shit out sound totally different than the same old same old they’ve been shitting out for however long they’ve been not growing as musicians.

  • Sammy says:

Again, yeah, what Wayne said…the second time.

The original sucked, the QR version blows and this version is all kinds of fucked up. Saying that, I really like the first two Oasis discs. Great brit pop reminiscent or Lennon and Mcartney. There you have it. So my suck factor just went up three notches.

ya, oasis suck because they mouth off other bands….. dumb.
ya, noel is back on the coke so there gonna be great again….. dumber.

oasis touched on brilliance twice with there first 2 albums. (most bands don’t touch on brilliance on a single never mind 2 lp’s.
the 3rd was ok. the 4th less than ok. the 5th was ok. + the 6th lp ‘don’t believe the truth’ was better than ok.

oasis’s ok is better than most bands good.

oasis are a great working class no strings attached rock and roll band much like the rolling stones.

they sure aren’t upper class uninspiring american indie shite.

    do your research music fans.

    oh shit.
i just realized this was a metal blog.
talking music with you folks is worse than indie kids!

‘darkness imprisoning me, all i can see is absolute horror’

I like this, but I prefer versions when Noel takes lead over Liam. Nothing holds a candle to the original from the “classic” Slade line-up. Noddy’s voice has a beautiful timbre to it. Plus, the dude was a total fruitcake.

  • Wayne says:

So, Jon, are you saying that talking music with us is worse than TALKING WITH indie kids? Or worse than indie kids THEMSELVES?

    Lack of clarity…..dumbest
