SCREAM, AIM AND FIRE THE BULLET FOR MY VALENTINE

Are Bullet for My Valentine the future of metal? They’re certainly one of those bands – like Trivium and Avenged Sevenfold – that seem to have captured the attention of the metal community in record time; I mean, I thought they were pretty big here in the States, where they’ve done opening stints for Guns N’ Roses and Rob Zombie, but when Vince and I saw ‘em at Download last year – well, paint me green and call me Gumby, they’re HUGE.
Their first full length release, The Poison, has sold over a million copies worldwide, and now their follow-up offering, Scream Aim Fire, is set to drop January 29 and cement their status as one of the most important, can’t-be-ignored metal acts of their generation. If that news makes you feel all tingly, then this should really get your heart pumping: you can stream the band’s new single, also entitled “Scream Aim Fire,” right now in both Real and Windows Media formats. Thanks for the heads-up. I enjoy their music, but I am honestly surprised at how popular they are.
Looks like they’ve gone a little more thrashy this time. Hopefully they do it better than Trivium did – The Crusade was such a letdown for me after Ascendancy. :(
Well…it’s not as good as Eye of the Storm
And it pretty much blows compared to everything off The Poison
Oh well, they were never that great to begin with.
Not to mention Matt Tuck sounds like an aborted cat during sex live, so having him sing more was a huge mistake.
I’d like it more if it didn’t sound so much like Godsmack playing Alice in Chains.
I kid. Actually it’s pretty good, even with the Hetfieldian “ti-eeem”.
I like how they use Death Metal style guitar at the intro, with the tremelo and all…it sounds really cool.
Isn’t “Godsmack playing Alice in Chains” kinda redundant?
Oh god, I just read everyone’s whining about AIC and Godsmack. And here I am trying to be funny, guess it’s already been broughten! Didn’t mean to start another war. Oh well.
I just don’t understand why people like this band so much. I heard them first before I fell out of favor with most generic metalcore, and I still didn’t like them. I was spinning them when i thought As I Lay Dying and Trivium were the two best metal bands out there, and I still didnt like them. I even like Funeral For a Friend more than I like these guys. I mean, i hate a7x, but at least those guys are good at evoking some sort of passion from me. This band is just boring and I can’t even muster up enough interest to hate them.

I see you’re taking to the new slogan of the website as opposed to the old one. I Agree that anyone with differing points of view should die. I mean, this is Stalinist Russia correct?

They’re basically generic mainstream metalcore.
