Last night’s Led Zeppelin reunion gig will surely be one of the more buzzed about topics on the Internet this morning (don’t tell the fools who paid thousands for tickets that the band is planning a 2008 tour with The Cult opening! sssssshhhh!). Here’s a pro-shot video from last night of the band performing “Black Dog:”

The setlist, which I believe Kip W. will share his thoughts on later, was as follows:

05. For Your Life
06. Trampled Under Foot
07. Nobody’s Fault But Mine
08. No Quarter
09. Since I’ve Been Loving You
10. Dazed and Confused
11. Stairway To Heaven
12. The Song Remains the Same
13. Misty Mountain Hop
14. Kashmir

Encore:

15. Whole Lotta Love
16. Rock and Roll

I dont know about you guys but this is one of the only shows I would drop over a hundo to go to!!!! I cant wait

  • TedTedPoleyPoley

featuring Jason Bonham from “Savage Animal”!!

  • Wayne

Well, I would have liked to see “Immigrant Song”, but other than that, this is a damn fine setlist. The reviews have been RAPTUROUS.

  • Sammy

After the disastrous reunion 20 years ago, I figured these pros would get it right this time around. How a 60-year-old can still get his voice up there like that is beyond me.

  • Sammy

    As a self-admitted, self-described, don’t-give-a-fuck-what-you-think semi-metrosexual pretty boy, I hope I still have a head of hair like Plant’s when I’m his age.

Sammy if you wanna know how an old geezer can still sing you should ask the king, Ronnie James Dio. Saw Heaven and Hell this fall, and He sounded better than anything ever, including young Dio.

  • Reverend

Dude. Is it just me, or do they sound a little heavier here?

  • Sammy

Rev, my first thought (ok, 2nd thought after the great hair observation) was how heavy it sounded. Maybe they secretly swapped Page’s new signature Les Paul for a Zakk Wylde with EMGs.

The heaviness comes from the massive bottom end of John Paul Jones, I think.

  • Reverend

Either way.. I kinda like that it sounds heavier. Hehe. Sure hope they’re recording for a live album from this concert and/or upcoming tour.
