I'm a big fan of this site and all, but I think Bullet for my Valentine and Avenged Sevenfold are really just 6 of one, half a dozen of the other. Both require a lot of eyeliner, a lot of baseless, mall-approved aggression, and a whole lot of music many other bands have made before and much better. Grew up on the more classic metal so in today's day and age I thought the poision was a really refreshing album as far as pulling out technical riffs with good breakdowns and great clean singing. Both there new songs though seem so dull to me and the lyrics are awful. The choruses don't have a whole lot to them as far as remaining memorable or leaving a lasting impression.
