For some reason the sight of that plane makes me very sad. I think its because even the most popular modern day metal bands have no prayer in hell to ever afford their own airplane. It seems the only bands big enough to fly around the world in an airplane are playing for the generation before the internet killed the “rock star”. Now, while I don’t particularly like rock stars, and like the modern day way of music to the masses…its still sad that musicians cant get rich anymore. I think i would be less upset if professional athletes weren’t making such a disgusting amount of money. Similar talent is not providing similar results in two of the “i have a dream” professions.

As much I think Maiden has mostly re-released the same album the past few years (much like Aersmith has made a career of doing), there’s no way this is not the coolest thing ever. I wish these guys were coming to an arena near me so I could take my son, who wants to see Maiden before they retire. I’ve only seen them five times since the Powerslave tour.
