DAYLIGHT DIES ALMOST READY TO KILL SOME MORE DAYLIGHT

1

Bad headline puns aside, Daylight Dies are one of our favorite American metal bands carrying the European-style torch (see also: Agalloch); their dark, doomy version of melodeath is way more reminiscent of locations above the arctic circle than it is their native North Carolina. The band is currently finishing up tracking their new album, the follow-up to 2006’s excellent Dismantling Devotion (Candlelight Records) after which they’ll send it off to Fascination Street Studios in Sweden (where else?) for mixing and mastering. Hopefully the album will be ready in time for their Spring U.S. tour with Candlemass.

Here’s a video update from their recording sessions, followed by the video for “Lies That Bind” from Dismanting Devotion. Tour dates after the jump.
