I think that just comes along with the territory of having a different line-up. And to correct your sentiment, Living Sacrifice didn't change to 'metalcore' when it became popular. Quite the opposite, actually. They were a pioneering band of the whole 'metalcore' genre, but they did it all with sincerity and good taste. As far as being Christian is concerned... Who gives a shit? I wouldn't consider myself a Christian, but that doesn't mean that I can't enjoy a band that happens to be Christian. I feel the same way about metal bands that talk about Satanism... If I can identify with their music, then I'll probably listen to it. Doesn't mean I have to be homeboys with Anton LeVay. Their sound is the same as pretty much any band on NYHC: The Way It Was that was released ages before they were in the 'scene' proper. Beside that they were the latest in a string of bands who took the 108/Judge/Burn sound and ran with it. It was the mainstream bullshit music press that coined the phrase 'metalcore' for a style of music that existed a solid 8 years before Living Sacrifice hit the scene 'proper' in 1996. That said, good to see them make another go at it. They are still better than a lot of the so called 'second-gen metalcore' acts (who are more like 4th gen at least). I never minded them, but c’mon. I was jamming these guys with Luti-kriss Poison the well, hopesfall, ect. back in the d-zay.Hammering process is fucking brutal, and yeah their live shows rip face.
