METALLICA CONFIRMED FOR BONNAROO 2008 — OFFICIALLY

MetalSucks reported it here first on December 19th, but no, that wasn’t enough for you people. You needed to hear it officially to believe it. Well, believe it motherfuckers: Metallica is headlining the Sunday this year of Bonnaroo, the annual hippie / hipster jam-out in Tennessee, despite prior claims from Metallica’s management that the rumors were not true.

Seriously, folks: MetalSucks is unfuckwithable. Don’t you know that by now?

The real question here is what will be funnier; thousands of hipsters heading for the hills when Metallica plays, or dudes with side-swiped, asymmetrical haircuts attempting to headbang. Or did Pitchfork / NME say it was cool for them to like Metallica this week? Who the fuck knows.

    That by-far is my favorite Metallica promo photo in the history of ever. If ever a picture can speak 1000 words its this one. Unfortunately, it would just be “douchebag” over and over 1000 times

    In 1986 I would never have guessed I’d hear Metallica on the radio, let alone be really tired of them. Well, I have and I am.

    As a huge metal fan, and lover of music, I’ve been to Bonnaroo twice, and it’s pretty awesome. There are too many great bands and not enough time, and Metallica, who I was raised on and is still my favorite band of all time, will be a welcome addition to the lineup. I wish I could go!
