VAN HALEN CANCEL TOUR?

ed.jpgBack when Vince and I saw the reunited Van Halen at Madison Square Garden, I said that it was a great show but that I didn’t quite believe that David Lee Roth and Eddie Van Halen really liked one another now.

Well, it looks like I was right: Blabbermouth [via TMZ] is reporting rumors that the remainder of the tour is canceled, because Eddie has been “having issues” (read: fell of the wagon again) and “internal band tensions have been flaring up again as the tour has gone forward.” So, uh, if you wanted to check these dudes out live, I hope you did it already.

Somewhere, Michael Anthony is doing a shot of Cabo and laughing.

    The problem with VH seems to always have been that the two members who can’t be kicked out (because of their last name) are, albeit talented raging, assholes. Do these pricks get along with ANYbody? I mean, c’mon, if you can’t get along with Sammy Hagar something is wrong with you.

    Correction: Michael Anthony did a shot of Cabo then proceeded to play the three notes he knows on bass.

    Maybe there was internal strife because Wolfgang was too good at bass. That or David Lee Roth secretly broke something trying to do splits.

    You negative Nancy-boyz are such pathetic little weezles. Any chance to diss the mighty Van Halen in deference to your own whiny little cry-baby fests aren’t worth commenting on. BUT what is worth commenting on is the latest factoid to come out of the VH management camp, posted at http://www.billboard.com/bbcom /news/article_display.jsp?vnu_ content_id=1003718728 The tour is NOT being cancelled. Eddie is seeing a doctor. The man might be ill and he wants to get better. The tour will procede as planned. So, shut the f*ck up, you bunch of Sammy Hagar Fans.

    I said I wasn’t going to comment on the cry-baby fest that the negative Nancy boyz are engaged in. My comment was not about that, as stated. My comment was in regard to the fact that the tour is not being cancelled. (Those are two completely different subjects; one commented on; one NOT commented on.)
