BARONESS LIVE IN BROOKLYN

The good lads at Metal Injection have posted some awesome footage of Baroness performing live in Brooklyn this past fall. This footage is notable for the following reasons:

  1. Baroness fucking tears that room a new asshole.
  2. Look at the shitiness of the venue and PA. It was literally the back room of a Mexican restaurant with all the chairs and tables pushed to the back and a makeshift stage in one corner. Not shown: the ghetto neighborhood.
  3. Baroness tears that room a new asshole.
  4. The abundance of girls at this metal show.
  5. The abundance of hot girls at this metal show (seriously, where’d they come from?)
  6. It was Kip’s last mosh before breaking his shoulder.
  7. Baroness tears that room a giant, gaping arsehole.

    This band gives me hope. They just play good music and don’t care whats going to make them alot of money–and they are succeeding, impressing people 1 person at a time. They are also bringing a free flowing jam element back into metal, without being as dark and DARE I SAY, [boring], as Opeth.
