ARE CAVE IN PLAYING AT SXSW?

sxsw 2008According to Lambgoat, Hydra Head Records have announced the details for their SXSW showcase, to take place Friday (March 14th) at Red 7 in Austin, Texas:

Helms Alee
Everlovely Lightningheart
Stove Bredsky
Clouds
Dalek
Kayo Dot
Harvey Milk
Torche

“Stove Bredsky”? I think we can safely conclude that Cave In’s Steven Brodsky will be making an appearance at this show in some form or another, whether it be solo, w/ the Octave Museum, or some other incarnation. But why the mis-spelling? Either some poor intern was having a bad day when he wrote up the press release or there is something else afoot here. There’s nothing that explicitly suggests a Cave In reunion show, but wouldn’t that be sweet? Those in attendence (which, sadly, will be none of us) will be able to say “I was there.”

if you actually paid attention to the world of cave in, you would know steve has a fondness for mispelling his own name, that steve and clouds have played countless shows together with NO CAVE IN REUNION, and that octave museum broke up last summer. youre an idiot.

Holy crap Vince, blah just totally pwn3d the shit out of you on your own website!!! Maybe next time you should spend 2 days researching Cave In before your next post.

perhaps you missed this dudes huge cave in post where he pretended like he actually knew anything about the band. not being aware of steve’s misspellings ill give him a pass on, but not knowing something as simple as the octave museum being broken up (for almost 9 months mind you) i wont.

forgive me for being a dick, but there is absolutely nothing about this show indicating that cave in will be playing it, so turning his unrealistic hope into a news headline is moronic. i could maybe understand if pet genius, zozobra and clouds were all on the same bill, but even that wouldnt mean shit as i personally have been to 2 shows since cave in’s hiatus where all band members were in attendance, and guess what, they didnt play. and that was in their hometown, so if they arent going to do it there, then why would they in fucking texas.

    Cave In is irrelevant

Harvey Milk and Kayo Dot at the same show! I’d be flipping shit to see that.
