APIARY POST DEMO OF NEW SONG + BEST QUOTE EVER

San Francisco’s princes of dissonant punk-metal Apiary have recently posted a demo of a new track from their forthcoming sophomore album (produced by Steve Austin, of Today Is The Day and helmer of previous releases by Converge, Lamb of God, Unsane, and more) on the band’s MySpace page. The song is pretty solid — although it may be impossible to reach the raw yet polished tone of their amazing debut album Lost In Focus — and with such strong players in the mix, of course one would expect them to want to evolve to something new each time out, and this pre-offering seems to suggest a doomier element will be added to the already furious focus Apiary brings to the table.

Guitarist Chris Brock foreshadows the impending awesomeness by explaining that “Our new album sounds like the end of ‘Robocop 2’, only it’s Murphy taking 100 hits of Nuke and killing Cain, Lewis, OCP and the rest of Delta City.”

Well of course it does — don’t be ridiculous.
