NEKROGOBLIKON WORKING ON NEW GOBLIN-TASTIC ALBUM

A little over a year ago I discovered Nekrogoblikon, and life just hasn’t been the same since. But after my 8 trillionth spin of the band’s 2006 album Goblin Island, I was feeling just about ready for something new.

Lucky for me, then, that the band just signed with with Creator-Destructor Records, and will soon had back into the studio to give me another goblin’ (Return to Goblin Island, perhaps?).

There’s a new Nekrogoblikon song, “No One Survives,” on the band’s MySpace page. I’m a little bummed that the word “goblin” appears nowhere in the title, but my adoration for this band is such that I’m willing to let it slide.

Here’s their video for “Army of Goblins.”

Nekrogoblikon: Once again proving that Goblin metal is still unchallenged as the nerdiest musical genre on the planet. The New York Times reports that Goblin metal narrowly beats out Polka to claim this honor once again according to a poll taken in March 2008.

Other honorable mention nerdy genres include video-game metal, pirate metal, and EMO!
