WANNA SEE THE NEW SLIPKNOT MASKS? WELL TOUGH TITTY!

So if you head over to Slipknot’s website, you’re supposed to be able to see some shots of the band’s new masks on the intro page… only you can’t really see anything. Actually, it just looks like nine action figures with oversized totem-pole heads.

I know a lot of you hate Slipknot, but I’m gonna defend my stance that they rock until the bitter end. That being said, I was kinda hoping they’d drop the masks this album so people could move past the gimmick and concentrate on the actual music a little more; they seemed to be hinting at going maskless with their video for “Before I Forget” (below), and at this point it seems like everyone knows what they look like without the masks anyways… but I guess I got my hopes up for nuthin’.

    Looks like their deathmasks from vermillion, but than bigger like those oversised carnival masks. Only time will tell and I can’t wait!!!!!!!!!!!!

    Found a comment on Blabbermouth from a guy (Panos_Athena) who dropped some light into the picture…makes it a lot clearer.

    Unfortunately, doesn’t clear up the meaning a damn bit…Damn you Slipknot, and your mindfucking games!!!

    I hope they never drop the masks. It’s not like the band isn’t so much musically exciting, but I admire what they do as showmen.
