Thursday, April 17th, 2008 at 3:25pm by Axl RosenbergSo everyone and their mother is going bat shit crazy over the new Death Angel album, Killing Season, and now Headbanger’s Blog has debuted the video for the first single, “Dethroned.” It’s a pretty cool clip, and the song certainly makes me want to throw a bottle of beer against a wall and scream for no real good reason.
And don’t forget that Death Angel are hitting the road with God Forbid and Soilent Green this summer. If that line-up doesn’t get you stoked, you must be suffering from a pretty serious head injury.

Some of the best riff writers/guitarists in metal ever. Like Testament, they should’ve enjoyed WAY more success. And they continue to evolve and not sound dated (hearin’ me, Sebastian B.?).

What a boring ass song.
Like a Nirvana, Manson or Metallica video? Yeah, videos sucked back then. Not like videos made nowadays.
I used to have to walk 10 miles in the snow to watch a NIN clip.
I bought Death Angel’s albums in the Eighties as they were released. I loved Thrash but always thought they were one of the weakest acts. To be fair I always assumed it was because they were so young. Well, they don’t have that excuse anymore. This is some tired, boring “Thrash.” Call it Thrashlite.
A lot of the young kids reviving Thrash these days sound a helluva lot more vital than this. It’s almost sad to have to listen to it. And the polish makes it even worse. Waaay too overproduced.
This doesn’t deserve to sell 100 copies.

i personally think “Killing Season” kicks ass. Soulless, Buried Alive, The Noose…all facemeltin’ brainslicin’ pieces of metal.
I find this really weak and progressive. I wouldn’t even call this metal. It’s like a college term paper or something. The only thing metal about this band is their name, which should be stripped from them like those whore’s babies in Texas.
Chigger please! Who wants to hear more “Cookie Monster” vocal stylings with the soft middle breakdowns. DEATH ANGEL RULE and so does their vid!
