SATURDAY SONG TO GET STONED TO: NINE INCH NAILS’ NEW TRACK “ECHOPLEX”
Saturday, May 3rd, 2008 at 4:24pm by Vince Neilstein
Thanks to MetalSucks reader Bradley S. for sending us the new Nine Inch Nails track “Echoplex,” which Trent Reznor just released for free download via iLike. The album ID3 tag of the mp3 says “?” and the comments field says, “Go to nin.com May 5th,” leading further speculation that Reznor will release a proper with-vocals NIN album this coming Monday (as opposed to the instrumental-only Ghosts I-IV).
Spark that bowl up and enjoy your Saturday.

yes! i was hoping there would be a saturday song to get stoned to today; it’s been awhile.
Song’s great. Wish I had some to spark up though.
Trent’s really hitting a massively creative stride. This is exciting.
I can’t smoke anymore damn it. Soberness is new, strange feeling. Now I’m just more awake and wish I were drunk… That I CAN do, and this article and this song might have just given me the push I needed to do it.
oh yea, I agree with devil, these new songs are pretty fucken ill. I’d like to hear some more downward spiral-ish songs though. That shit’s ill.
I think the song is fantastic! Honestly, I don’t think Reznor can write anything from Downward Spiral/The Fragile era anymore because he was massively on drugs (in terms of dark brooding sound). But, I’m sure there will be angst or songs that feel like they are from Downward Spiral. I CAN’T WAIT TO HEAR THE NEW ALBUM! When is Year Zero 2 coming out?! He said that was more along the lines of Downward Spiral… Hmmm
guy’s got a creative process of 5 minutes. if this actually comes out, he will have put out 3 albums in 3 years, not including remix cds and ghosts.
and i bet he makes a shit ton of money off of this if he retails it like he did ghosts… not many people bought the ghosts thing if you count out the 2500 people who dropped 300… I bet so many more will jump on a full-on cd.
NIN is my faovrite band. I haven’t liked an album since With Teeth. Trent needs to stop working out and get back on drugs. This is indie rock garbage.
Yep…new nin album for free.
