LIVE FOOTAGE OF NEUROSIS AT THE BROOKLYN MASONIC TEMPLE!

Wednesday, May 7th, 2008 at 12:42pm by Axl Rosenberg

To paraphrase the great Eric Cartman, “Yes, I saw Neurosis at the Brooklyn Masonic Temple in January. Now who wants to touch me? I SAID WHO WANTS TO FUCKIN’ TOUCH ME?!”

No, we weren’t blown away by the performance, but I know that many of our readers would gladly eat their right hand for this group. Show sponsors VICE have now put some footage of those shows up on VBS.tv for your enjoyment. Below, check out the band performing “Hidden Faces” from Given to the Rising. Then click here to watch even more live footage. Word.

You know, when I first heard Neurosis I thought they kinda lacked a bit much. One of my friends kept insisting I give them another try, when I did, for some reason I was blown away… maybe it was the knife hits? Maybe not, but these guys own!

  3. The Pig In Zen says:

Man, you guys really got to get into Neurosis… like, bad.

I also agree that they’re a band that grows on you, so you probably should give them another shot.

my lord, you guys are clueless. i guess they need ripping solos or 15,000 chord changes to impress you or something. christ.
then again, i read the mars volta stroke piece, so i’m glad we don’t really share the same opinions..

Seriously, a Saturday album to get stoned to. ‘a Sun that Never Sets’. Take a couple knife hits or gravity hits (or both!).
