THE GOD FORBID DVD REALLY IS COMING OUT!
Wednesday, May 7th, 2008 at 4:05pm by Axl RosenbergNaysayers take note: God Forbid’s long-in-the-works DVD, Beneath the Scars of Glory and Progression, really is going to be released on June 10. In addition to a David Brodsky-directed concert film of last February’s headlining performance at the Starland Ballroom in New Jersey (read our review of that show here), the DVD will also feature a documentary about the band that was directed by Denise Korycki.
Check out the badassed cover art for the DVD below. And if you enjoy “The Hard R,” God Forbid guitarist Dallas Coyle’s weekly column here at MetalSucks – and I know you do – head over to the band’s MySpace page and check out live recordings of the songs “Broken Promise” and “End of the World” from the DVD. They slay.

God Forbid!!!
Yeey!
sick shit.
Someone please explain to me their appeal for God Forbid… I bought Constitution of Treason, and I like it (i.e. it’s got good riffs, etc…) to a certain extent. I just fail to get into it, and it’s probably coz I just don’t get it. The other thing is that the production of it -much like a lot of metal these days, isn’t raw, and is too dry.
I’m not saying they suck, and granted, I haven’t listened to much of their older stuff, I just don’t find it incredible.
So, please explain to me God Forbid to perhaps change my perspective, coz I keep on hearing wonderful stuff about them…
You like ‘em or you don’t. It’s just that simple.
