I love this album. Like a lot of bands from that era, somtimes sounding dated. This band and especially this release sound new and fresh. Very impressive to say the least. Thanks for a killer release!!

The first half of the album is magnificent. The second half is only saved by Bostaph's drumming as the recycled, simplistic riffing grows tiresome.

The solos shred and Billy has never sounded so alive.

Even though Testament are considered a "Second Tier" Thrash act they vaulted themselves over the big four by continually releasing quality material through the lean years. When Metallica and Megadeth went soft and appealed to modern rock radio, when Slayer and Anthrax just lost their energy, Testament got bigger, HEAVIER and more vital. This reunion is a breath of fresh air as the classic members have a synergy that is reminiscent of the old days while still remaininb vital precisely because they've never stopped growing as musicians and keeping in tune with modern tastes and styles.

Even so, this isn't the "magnificent" album some are making it out to be. The second half drags terribly. Yet, as far as classic Thrash acts go, this is a stunning display that puts the new crop to shame.

I've been rocking this one for WAY over a month (might as well be honest about it). Paul Bostaph is a fucking god. I LOVE THIS SHIT!! I LOVE THIS SHIT!!! I LOVE THIS SHIT!!! I had been awaiting this forfuckingever..and dammit I was gonna like it regardless of the quality. Luckily...it kicks ass. If you don't like - then you can fuck right off.

A stellar album, but the biggest shocker for me isn't that Skolnick can still shred some serious metallic solos, but that Peterson, twenty years on, is still coming up with quality riffs, the cornerstone of any metal tune. Heavy, catchy, what a hell of a comeback.

By metal standards I am an old fart, but one who looks forward, not in the rear view. However, this will be the next album I buy. Period.

This record does indeed shred and unlike Metallica and Megadeth the mighty Testament has never disappointed! Lose your legendary lead guitarist go heavier, lose that lead guitarist, make most brutal album you've ever done. Get classic line-up together and rule ass...Priceless.

Testament being on the bill was one of the biggest draws for this year's Graspop for me. Despite fellowing them since Souls of Black, they never seemed to play the UK at a time or place when I could see them.

The new album does indeed rock. Very different from, but every bit as good as the old stuff. REALLY looking forward to seeing them in Belgium in June!
