Exhorder made money?? When did that happen? Ironically..one of the key figures in the New Orleans scene, and highly influential at that, made very little, while others made millions [Pantera]. In the early days of Hardcore/Metal shows in and around New Orleans there was little money to be made. If that was your aim, then start a cover band and you might get a few bucks, otherwise you were lucky to get enough for ‘gas money’ to make it back home after the gig. The scene developed because people liked the music. I have no doubt that Exhorder’s newest CD will be good. They were always about raising the bar, through dedicative effort and hard work. It will be brutal!

u new in the metal business? spending hundrends of hours writting and recording an album for a few thousands $ is not what i call a good way to make money.

im a huge fan of exhorder. im extatic about a new album coming out, the sooner the better. i love pantera, but phil did rip off kyle thomas and his style. theres nothing like new orleans metal.

Who ever thanks bands cant make it when they reunite is crazy or got their head crushed in a pit I want to hear new music from EXHORDER an the old shit WHAT HAPPENDED TO matalica THEY NEVER REUNITED AN THEY HAVE SUCKED SINCE AND JUSTICE FOR ALL!!!!!GUESS the ozzy black sabbath reuion sucked to!!!!Not to metion dave lambardo back with slayer…I guess they suck to every body who i have let hear exhorder says what the fuck was that!!!now that music is more wide spread they better watch out for a band like exhorder!!!!!!

This is one band that, for some reason, slipped past my metal radar while at the same time I was into Pantera before they were really the Pantera they became – yes I had “Power Metal” when it first came out. (THAT is an album that was pre-thrash thrash with a touch of glam, touch of hard rock and touch of mainstream ’80s metal. It was an odd combination that, for the time, pretty fresh.)

But I’ve never bought the whole “Pantera ripped off the Exhorder sound” argument. If Exhorder had gone onto the fame Pantera did, they’d be saying imitation is the sincerest form of flattery. Maybe Pantera was influenced by Exhorder, but just did it better. EVERYthing is derivative.
