It really gets on my nerves when ignorant people make stupid comments tbh… You do know that:

a) Dan plays guitar, and doesn’t sing… and
b) It was David (the singer you retard) who made that voice.

Alright, I haven’t heard much of the DEP, but I can bet that they’re better than disturbed based on the underground attention they receive.

The thing Donegan fails to realize, is that, when KISS performed in front of smaller crowds, the shows were better. Here’s why…KISS did shows, big shows at least, mainly for what Donegan is talking about, the pyrotechnics, and show-stunning little effects that make the fans go “this is a fun and exciting show” It has NOTHING to do with the music, (ok, very small bits to do with the music…) When it comes tto the smaller shows, the music was more focused, it was more important, because the fans who went to the smaller shows actually cared about the music, the band, not the little things they do to keep the 10 year olds in front entertained. I’m going to see DEP live, just based on the fact that they obviously actually CARE about the music and not getting famous, though I gotta say, sometimes overly technical bands get cocky too. Especially the fans, oh my god…the fans… So annoying. “yeah, this guy is the greatest ever cuz he doesn’t do any melodic solos, all he does is jack off on his guitar in random clips and not many people do that.” Lol, now that I’ve successfully bashed both of them, I’m gonna start listening to DEP, fuck you fuckers.

Disturbed is a drop-tune away from being Nickelback. On that note, I’m not a DEP fan either but their musicianship and fan-following are pretty up there. Some people love them and some can’t stand them. Either way, the way “big” acts rehearse may be different compared to how “not-so-big” acts prepare for shows. Weinman could has easily said that they disagreed with the way Disturbed set up shop without calling them cavemen, but lets be honest, they’re pretty middle-aged. The only reason that Donegan brought up the unimportant points of record sales (pointless due to the fact that if one person sees your show it doesn’t mean you’re a worse musician than if 1,000,000 idiots were to see you play) is because of the initial name calling, most likely.

Actually both of these bands really suck. Nu metal and Emo are two of the worst genres in the history of music. These bands were both washed up in the 90s. I hope some of these people stayed in school because it will be extremely sad to see them still playing this horrible music a few years from now. I don’t even know how I got on this site…

I’ve seen tDEP live.. The fucked up halve the show of System of a down.. EVERYBODY hated this stupid band. Don’t get me wrong, it’s cool if you scream in the metal scene, but these guys JUST scream… It’s not music, I couldn’t hear any beat in it, nothing at ALL.
tDEP SUCKS BIG TIME!!!
Not that system of a down is that cool but it is 10000x better than tDEP.
I can’t say it too many times, THEY SUCK.

Ok, this has got to stop, SERIOUSLY and NOW! I’ve heard of dillenger escape plan exactly ONCE, from word of mouth. Never listened to any of their songs or seen them live. Disturbed on the other hand, I OWN all of their albums, all store bought cds, and I’m 28 soon to be 29. I’ve seen Disturbed live and they put on a helluva show with pyro and real guitar solos. Maybe Dan Donegan over-reacted a bit to the trash line put out by Weinman, however Weinman did insult Dan Donegan with the whole ‘Disturbed Cavemen’ line. Me thinks that both parties piss and moan way too much. However, I’m here to put a coherent reply out here for all people to read and understand and not just grandstand as a normal fanboy. So I will say this, Disturbed’s Dan Donegan is a helluva guitar player, replete with his own licks and cords and can rip guitar solos with some of the greats. David Draiman is a helluva vocalist in his own right too. Real Metal is about Vocals and Guitar work! NOT about how hard or how fast you can truely play and abuse your equipment, and no that is NOT a stab at Slayer, who are metal gods in their own right! Somehow Disturbed manage to sell a record or 10 million while not totally giving into the gay music system aka sell out. What matters most is the music, not just soundbites and taking stabs at other bands just because your angry. Heres what Dillenger Escape Plan can do to fix the situation, they can take their anger and channel it into making some better music so they can acheive some success too, then the pissing and moaning can stop from both sides. And no, metalcore is NOT true metal! Alas that means that P!ATD, MCR and A7X need to stop trying to parade around as metal bands, YAWN. How about that? A metalhead that can form coherent setences with proper punctuation and grammar and NOT flame on people! Will wonders never cease? That being said, I bet I’ll get flamed on for hating on metalcore, or have some DEP fanboy come and say something stupid to me. Funny how Disturbed’s music doesn’t take cues from other bands at all? Ok, I’m done, I’ll be off to go listen to some Pantera or Motörhead now and play some sort of violent FPS game on my xbox.

Why do you guys care so much? Wow, everyone loves DEP. Wow, everyone loves Disturbed. If someone is trying to start a fight by swinging first, wouldn’t you swing back? (Don’t say no because you’re a pacifist or some crap like that.) People naturally have to support their bands if someone tries to talk trash. Don’t you stick up for yourself if someone is trying to put you down? Everyone is saying Disturbed sucks. Why? Because you said so? Because Disturbed isn’t your type of music? Well guess what, it’s your opinion. The thing is, DEP started this. Disturbed is sticking up for themselves. To all you people saying stuff about the choreography of Disturbed, go on YouTube and search for their live performances. They don’t move all that much. To all of you people talking about band covers and how “bad” Disturbed is, it’s irrelevant to the topic.
