SATURDAY SONG TO GET STONED TO: THE TIMECUBE – “END OF AN ERA”

Saturday, May 17th, 2008 at 5:34pm by Vince Neilstein

So back when I lived in the Detroit area there this was insanely talented band called The Timecube with a young wunderkind guitar player that was absolutely phenomenal. Not to knock the rest of the band members, all of whom were talented as well, but this kid was beyond superb. And the combo of his amazing chops with the drums/bass/saxaphone (!) band just totally did it. I believe they’re still kicking around, but their current format is more of a free jazz thing and doesn’t touch the rocking-ness (and stoniness) of their old stuff. This was their their best track.
