EXCLUSIVE VIDEO PREMIER FOR EKOTREN’S “TRANQUILIZED”

Tuesday, May 20th, 2008 at 5:05pm by MetalSucks

We are pleased to exclusively (well, until you hit “Embed”) premier “Tranquilized,” the new video from hard rockers EkoTren. The video was directed by the one and only David Brodsky (the upcoming God Forbid DVD, Arsis, Hate Eternal, and a million others), a man whose skills as a director and editor speak for themselves. Let this video be proof once and for all that metal dudes can do handstands.

    Nice one jaime.

I like it more than the first time I heard it, but for me to be interested this would have to be their weakest song.

Chris, how can you lump Linkin Park and AIC together? That is an odd and ridiculous pairing.

Reminds me of early Lost Prophets especially the verses. I dig this style but some of the riffs and lyrics were a little generic and definitely didn’t ever expect to see something like this on here. Band is talented though would be cool to hear if they experiment a little more in there other stuff.

    Second weakest, actually…

Track #10 on the CD is the weakest in terms of the metal factor (but probably the most radio friendly track with undoubtedly the catchiest hook)…

This particular single is by far an inaccurate indicator of who this band is. Although I understand the use of this song to help launch the band, it is by no means their best track. I’m partial to the first and title track “Light the Fire”, but there is a raw angry inferno in the album’s closing track “Chupacabra”, and intense depth and harmony on “Paper Thin”.

Don’t count these guys out based on their widest cross-over song… the album’s one of the better one’s I’ve picked up this year, and I pick up CD’s like Pam Anderson picks up VD…
