THINGS ACTUALLY LOOK PRETTY GOOD FOR GENGHIS TRON

Thursday, June 5th, 2008 at 11:30am by Axl Rosenberg

Board Up the House is still one of the strongest releases of 2008 so far – and now Genghis Tron have a video to help get the word out. The clip for “Things Don’t Look Good” was directed by Ravi Zupa and debuted on Pitchfork.TV this morning.

And it’s an awesome video. Like GT themselves, it’s totally metal without in any way, shape, or form conforming to the clichés that bog down so many of the band’s peers. So check it out below, read my review of Board Up the House, and then, if for some reason you still don’t own a copy of the album, go friggin’ buy one already.

This is a great video! I haven’t heard their cd yet but will have to check it out after hearing that track. I really love the way this video was made.

Stuff like this makes me so happy. I hate… HATE HATE HATE HATE HATE shitty videos that are sloppily made. Its refreshing to see good work, especially when its done for a band as good as these guys.

I wasn’t so interested in Genghis Tron until this song… What a cool track that was! It was cohesive, and drifted but just the right amounts to still remain consistent.

The video was very cool too.

These guys are easily one of my favorite bands and although i wasn’t into this track as much as their other stuff (a I Won’t Come Back Alive, City On A Hill or Colony Collapse video would have been amazing imo) this music video was just as original as GT’s music.

Brilliant video from a brilliant band, I’m also glad that they chose this song to make a video for since it is definatly one of my favourite Tron songs.

Whenever I think of Ghenis Tron, I think of Ghengis Khan. And whenever I think of Ghengis Khan I think of Dschinghis Khan.

I hope Ghengis Tron doesn’t sound like Dschinghis Khan. Sometimes don’t you hate the internet?
