It’s been another great week in Metalsville. Here are some highlights:

• Disturbed and Dillinger Escape Plan continued to trade highly amusing barbs in the press; almost as amusing as our readers’ barb-trading about said barb-trading. But all good things must come to an end.
• Ki$$ will continue without any original members and will sanction a reality show to choose the new members. A starving child somewhere cries out in disbelief.
• Privileged members of the press (not us) get to hear new Metallica music. Mixed reviews emerge.
• Death metal band with a cow on vocals. What else do you need to know?
• L.A. Guns hire David Spade as their new singer.
• Devin Townsend axes the skullet. Say it ain’t so!
• Scott Weiland is a drunken mess on stage in STP’s supposedly triumphant return. Sigh.
