LIGHT THIS CITY GOES DARK

The band name “Light this City” has never made much sense to me. I assume that the rest of that thought would be “On Fire,” but maybe they just live in an Amish town with no electricity?

ANYWAY, the band has dropped off a couple of tours, including their current support stint for God Forbid and Death Angel, and the rumor is that they’re dunzo.

I’ve never really heard enough of this band’s music to formulate anything resembling an intelligent opinion (hold your jokes, please), but I do like their single “The Unwelcome Savior,” which just happens to have a video directed by Soren.

So here is that video. I hope it brings some comfort to the band’s fans during these troubling times.

    These guys didn’t show up to Harpo’s the other day (neither did Arsis) but God Forbid and Death Angel brought their a-game and then some. If Dallas is checking this out, thanks a lot man. You really made an almost unbearable night of crushing disappointment and terrible local bands into a most enjoyable evening. Respect God Forbid. They bring it live.

    Women shouldnt be vocalists in metal bands. I know I know, you all are going to start flaming me and telling me I’m sexist, etc etc, while throwing examples like Walls Of jericho at me, but no, thats not it.

    First off, I can always tell when it’s a chick voc. People say they can do it just as well but I find their screaming dull and without variation.

    Second, they always seem to have a point to prove about them being able to be “just as br00tal” as any guy out there, and that ends up just making them scream their brains out. I like to have clean vocals along with screaming vocals.

    Maybe I’m wrong, but I haven’t heard a decent female metal vocalist yet.

    wow, this is the first I heard of this. Both Facing the thousand and Remains Of The Gods are awesome albums. I hope it’s not over for the band.
