Am I the first one who thinks there’s no way in hell that this is the artwork for the new album?

I think they are working on some sort of way to release the album to peeps on the interwebz (think Trent Reznor style) to get their street cred back / make a killing.

This is probably some concept art for that web site that got released in order to make everyone forget about their management taking down those reviews a few days ago.

This artwork is pretty fucking minimalistic.

At least it doesn’t have the cheesiness of the one for St Anger but it still ain’t the artworks we’ve seen on the first few albums that were good.

What I understood from it is that it totally represents two birds colliding with one another.Just like they can’t fucking stop bickering on each other all the fucking time.

In the videos they posted on Blabbermouth I sincerely felt for Kirk.The dude is out of inspiration because there’s too much arguing for any concrete creative process to take place.

The ”music” in these videos (well the parts we’ve heard) were not so great.

These guys can’t keep a damn focus anymore.I thought the producer would force them to discipline themselves a little but we never fucking see the guy in the videos.Can someone tell me where he’s gone?

Sick of the bitch fights I guess?

Retired at his young age just because of this experience with Metallica that totally threw him out of it and made him realize this job is not for him??

that logo looks like it was previously designed by a graphic artist working for Microsoft in an attempt to look more like a mac.

This is from the perspective of a Jewish Megadeth fan (i.e. me), so I’m going to focus on financial issues (that’s where the Jew in me comes in) trying to be level-headed about this (where the Droogie in me comes in):

Ok, so Metallica have disappointed sure enough, and if you have your reasons to hate them, go ahead. Please bare in mind that it seems that a lot of people are getting pissed off because over the span of the release of Load (which I like) and St. Anger, roughly 8 years, Metallica ‘robbed’ them of (counting only studio albums) the value of approx. $30. Over 8 years $30 isn’t much. Now, if you keep on buying the stuff they put out whilst you moan about feeling cheated, then who’s the asshole?

And yeah… Sure, I don’t like anything after Re-Load (which I incidently bought, as well as St. Anger), but I’m not bitching that they cheated me… I just think that the band didn’t develop in the way that I was expecting -which turned out to be shit, that’s all.

Those are my 2p… Yeah… I’m in the UK.

If it were “Spread the Ass,” wouldn’t the U-shaped dealies be pointed the other way – with the round side pointing out, I mean (with maybe the letter O in the middle)? As it is, I’d say it looks more like two buttcheeks pressing together as opposed to spreading apart. But whatever.
