CRYPTOPSY AND DAVID BRODSKY WORSHIP THEIR DEMONS

Is this whole debate about whether or not Cryptopsy are sell-outs still going on? If so, that’s retarded. I still haven’t heard their new album, The Unspoken King, but I have watched David Brodsky’s mindfuck of a video (the only word for that camera work is “dizzying,” and I mean that as a good thing) for their new song “Worship Your Demons” (below), and even if there’s no Lord Worm and the music isn’t super-duper technical, it’s still heavier than being caught beneath a fuck sandwich made of Dom DeLuise, Sally Struthers, and Charles Durning. So I have to think that anyone who who claims these dudes are doin’ it for the cha-ching (as opposed to a genuine desire to explore new sounds) either has cum in their ears or shit in their brains.

The Unspoken King drops on June 24 on Century.

    Personally I think this is one of the maybe 3 songs on this cd that aren’t quite bad.

    I couldn’t care less about selling out, and I love experimentation, so I can at least respect these guys still…but holy fucking fuck and a half does this new cd suck.

    Listen to the first few records then put this one in your CD player.

    I’m okay with experimentation as long as it doesn’t completely destroy the legacy of a band.The guy should have started a side-project.As someone said before,Flo seems to be acting like the boss here pretty much.He’s the one responsible for this new sonic direction.
    Ask yourself why,whenever press is coming up to them with questions about their new mallcore sound,he’s always the one replying.No one else in the band is gonna explain the unexplainable.

    I ain’t got cum in my ears nor shit in my brain.I’m simply saying that this is NOT the Cryptopsy I’ve known,and seriously,it almost hurts when you’re that much of a diehard fan.

    I know you guys love the dude, but I am so fucking tired of the same shaky cam, rapidfire editing, Miami Vice color gels, shadows of twirling fans, decrepit warehouse settings, half-assed animation stabs, overlit lead singers’ faces, Anton Corbjin in-and-out-of-focus wannabeism, pseudo-br00tality that I am ready to puke shit and cum from every orifice imaginable.     I just turned the video off after the first 20 sec. all I heard was blastsbeats and an obnoxious scream, atleast I know not only will the music be shitty but also the production

    I disagree with you. I like both videos and I think they both represent the band and the songs well. I don’t usually give too much thought to videos and I’m not a fan of the song so much. I would like to see you shoot cum and shit from every orifice and maybe you should have Brodsky shoot it.

    i was so fucking dissapointed with the new album. Not because it wasnt as good as the fucking mindblowing as none so vile, or even blasphemy made flesh, but because it isnt even a fucking crumb of what they were. The clean vocals are horrible, the breakdowns (WTF!?!?) sound like they were trying to be Dillinger and the drumming (which ive always loved) was hardly even up to scratch.

    To me its deathcore, generic deathcore at that. I dont understand why they would go from pioneers of modern tech death metal so a shit genre which is already oversaturated with pre pubescent turds. The scene kids are all flocking to their myspace which is a validation of this statement. It not that they are getting more popular… good for them. Its the fact that they have betrayed their loyal fanbase and turned to something most “true” metalheads hate.
