JOSH HOMME CALLS AUDIENCE MEMBER “CHICKEN-SHIT FUCKIN’ FAGGOT” AND “DICKLESS TURD,” THROWS BOTTLE

Tuesday, June 17th, 2008 at 12:26pm by Vince Neilstein

Apparently Queens of the Stone Age frontman Josh Homme launched into a foul string of expletives and threw a bottle at some dumbass kid, after said kid threw said bottle at him while the band was performing at the Norwegian Wood festival this past weekend. This is why I love the Internet so much — this video is an absolute must watch before it gets pulled! Some choice nuggets include:

“I’m not so sick that I can’t go down there and beat the fuckin’ shit out of you!”

“I’ll still buttfuck you in front of all your friends!”

“You chicken-shit fuckin’ faggot! Hey you, you fuckin’ pussy motherfucker! I will fuck you up!”

“This dickless fuckin’ turd has no friends anyways.”

Watch and enjoy. Why is it that when Axl Rose does this kind of thing it sparks a riot and when Josh Homme does it everyone from audience members to the blogosphere applauds? Axl, you watching this?

Wow. Just fucking wow. I just hope he fingered the right dickless turd.

  2. jaime says:

    Haw haw

  3. TedTedPoleyPoley says:

probably cause this guy didn’t cancel the show??

  4. Dr J says:

I never got into Queens of the Stone Age, but i think all it took was the front man threatening to butt-fuck a twelve year old.

  5. Tommy Leebowitz says:

Haha, wow. I wish the kid actually wound up on stage for a real beat down. Throwing shit at an artist is just dumb.

  6. Sammy says:

Beating up an adolescent, even if he did something stupid and dangerous, would be the worst thing Homme could have done.

  7. Joe says:

So how this plays out in court.

Prosecuting Lawyer to Josh Homme “So after this minor threw a bottle at you, you proceeded to say that you will “buttfuck him in front of his friends and beat the shit out of him on stage” “then you proceeded to throw the bottle back at him, knowing full well that he was underage”

Homme- “yeah dude” (and thats when he’s thinking to himself, fuck Dave Grohl never had to go through this)

I can see the lawsuit know.

In no way am I justifying the actions of either party, I probably would have done the same thing, but the kid is a minor, and he obviously has a dick and balls because he threw a bottle at you, and all you could do was publically humiliate the kid and throw the bottle back at him. Sometimes, musicians just think too highly of himself.

Also, that fucking kid is probably the stupidest person on this earth, minus the person from Bank of America that I talked to yesterday.

    /puts on arguing suit

  8. Joe says:

My apologies for my spelling and gramatical errors on the previous post.

  9. Conor says:

@Joe: Spoken like a true American.

Try living elsewhere for a while. There are many places where one has more freedom to act in without fear of being slammed with a lawsuit. Social pressures often rule—for example, I highly doubt the kid was prosecuted for throwing something at Homme, but he sure as hell was embarrassed.

The question, in my opinion, should be: which option, lawsuit or humiliation, is going to do more in terms of discouraging that kind of behavior in the future?

  10. Pluto says:

I am glad that the kid was embarrassed, that way he learned a lesson.
This reminded me why I like my musicians to have a backbone!

  11. Revrant says:

Sheep would find this hilarious, being a fan.

I’m glad to see musicians are so stuck up their own assholes that when something gets thrown on to their perfect little set and light shows they threaten to beat the shit out of some kid and “buttfuck” them among a slew of other expletives.

Oh, big balls, get the kid dragged out by the lackeys and held while you throw it back at him, why do people mistake being a cowardly dick and having balls?

  12. Deez Nutz says:

There are other clips of this out there and the bottle doesn’t even hit Homme.

I like QOTSA a lot but I’ve lost some respect for Homme… Seems like a dick.

  13. Master Chef says:

Hey DEEZ NUTZ, I agree with you. This wasn’t a good example of fighting fire with fire. He should have kicked that kid out and continued the show like a true Pro. Oh yeah, CONOR stfu!

  14. ezra says:

First of all, he should have called him a “ice-cream eating motherfucker” then hauled him onstage and given him some sort of weird bear-hug chokehold combo. That’s how it’s handled.
    Anyone else seen “instrument”? Anyone?

  15. ezra says:

Damn red-headed rock temper strikes again!

  16. jaahn says:

    @ ezra:
LOL! and i thought i would be the only one who thought of the “ice cream eating motherfucker” part in Instrument. that part was almost as classic as them being heckled by convicts at that prison gig. WTF was Ian thinking on that one?

  17. razzo says:

Damn…It would have been much cooler if it had actually been a grown man and not an emo kid…I mean Homme is like A 6-6″ fucking linebacker in real life..

Plus, he needs to work on his material, he said “dickless turd” like 57 times…
ALSO, I lost a lot of respect for him for not following through with the threat… he didn’t even toss the dude’s salad or anything….

  18. miffdux says:

That’s a fucking rockstar move right there.

For shits and giggles, let’s just say that Josh did manage to get ahold of this dummy and whoop his ass. He’d do maybe 3 hours in lockup for a crime that any other asshole would do a few months for (Scott Weiland, anyone?), not to mention get any lawsuit thrown out of court because he’s fucking rockstar.

    Just look at R. Kelly.

  19. Joe says:

    @miffdux

I don’t think Josh has that much power.

  20. Jason says:

XD Funnier than the Thor Guitar God video posted yesterday. And I can say that because I really, really dislike this band.

  21. Christopher says:

and hear i thought this guy was a calm classy individual…i gues “no one knows”,ha!
p.s-did anyone notice the other band members faces, kinda like “bro, this is between you and that 12 yr old,cuz i’m stayin the fuck oughta this!”

  22. Revrant says:

Or maybe the expression was “Dude, it’s a little kid, this is embarrassing and funny at the same time.” Had he beaten up a little kid in front of thousands of people and had live footage of it? He probably would have gotten community service.

  23. Joe A. says:

Emo kids need a kick and a punch anyway. This fits Homme’s character, which hey whatever really. Fact is he’s not Axl Rose level BS because if so he would of stormed off the stage.

  24. Giles says:

    Ha! Go Homme!
I saw them support the Pumpkins back in March here in Christchurch, New Zealand. Exactly the same thing happened – guy throws a shoe, and Homme berates the crowd. He talked about f**king the guy’s mother, mentioned dickless, basically the same stuff. We loved it! It was right during the last song, Song for the Dead. They stopped it, Josh yelled, they continued the song, then walked off…

  25. zach says:

    what an asshole!

  26. NastyBedazzler says:

Who wouldn’t agree with the artist here? If anybody, 12 year old kid or not, threw a bottle at my face and it hit me there would be hell to pay.

It’s rude, and an outright assault for no other reason than being on a stage trying to perform is ridiculous, he had every right to embarrass that kid and throw the bottle back. Eye for an eye tooth for a tooth, ignorant kids like that need a taste of their own medicine.

  27. Mikeer says:

Telling somebody that you will beat the shit out of them is plain stupid. If you’re going to shoot – shoot, don’t talk!
And if you do say that and then do not do it, then you broke your word and are a douchebag.

I just love how he goes on and on and then asks somebody to hold the kid as he throws the bottle at him, real macho!

  28. [...] word yet on whether Homme plans on insulting and throwing bottles at his audience if the duo ever performs [...]

  29. SourDeez says:

Gotta love the Homminator. I’m pretty sure he does that at every show. He called some kid out when I saw them play in LA and had security remove him. There’s a whole rant on their live album where he calls a guy a cocksmoker and tells him to eat a bag of dicks. It’s understandable, first off he’s always drunk onstage, add some little shit throwing stuff at him and you’ve got an extremely pissed off frontman. As for why it’s cool when he does it and shitty when Axl Rose does it…Axl always comes across as a whiney bastard who’s throwing a tantrum. He stops the entire show. He makes people wait for a long time before he hauls his primadonna ass back onstage. There’s nothing entertaining about waiting around while the musician you came to see has a meltdown. Josh Homme doesn’t have meltdowns or stop the show for more than a minute or two, he just takes the time to call a motherfucker out if they’re being disrespectful to the band, and his entertaining insults are a staple of QOTSA shows.

  30. Shaun with a Q says:

Hommes has been targeted by dicks throwin shit him before
i have a dvd where he played a concert in london and he poined out the guy called him a cocksmoker and to eat a bag of dicks, then pointed out “now its not only me who knows your an asshole its everybody”
thats smooth, let the audience smash the prick dont risk it yourself

i personally think Josh let this kid off lightly
