PELICANS REALLY ARE METAL

I used to think that “Pelican” was a shitty name for a metal band. I’m not even judging the band’s music; I was just hard pressed to think of a less-metal animal than a Pelican.

Boy, was I wrong.

    The most generic, repetitive metal instrumental song I ever heard. Maybe it would’ve been better with… I don’t know… VOCALS!

    Yeah even with some of their work off of Australasia, I can’t get enough of Pelican.

    Not much into their later stuff, but I always thought Australasia was an awesome, epic CD.

    Everytime someone talks shit about these guys, I’m totally confused, but then I realized some people like Sun O))) and I feel the same way.

    There once was a metal band called Chinchilla. Yes, those chinchillas. Unless they are some sorta crazy chincilla farmers making coats for Martha Stewart…well that’s just gay.

    So Pelican? Could always be worse.
