The Deciblog nails it again. Because seriously, does Maiden really NEED three guitarists? Apparently so.

2. Flight Attendant
Bruce Bruce can front the band, charter the flight and pilot Air Maiden, but he can’t do everything. Someone needs to serve Adrian Smith drinks when Steve Harris tries to sell him on the idea of adding Virtual XI and X-Factor songs into the set.

When I saw them in Seattle in early June, Gers was thrown two bones – or, little parts of a couple of solos. But he’s a Murray clone, so his inclusion is really more of loyalty then anything. I guess they figure they’ll make enough money that splitting the dough 6 ways won’t hurt anyone.
Actually, he was the most animated of anyone in the band – but in a Spinal Tap way.
