ARE YOU GUYS HIP TO INTRONAUT YET?

If not, you should be; this extremely progressive stoner jazz metal band (got that?) recently signed with Century Media, and their new album Prehistoricisms is set to drop on September 16th. Our own Kip W. has been raving about this band for some time, and their Challenger EP even made his 2007 year-end top albums list. The band is fucking fresh; unique and inventive, br00tal and talented through and through.
Lucky for you, GuitarWorld.com is hosting a full mp3 download of “Australopithecus” from the new album. Enjoy it below. Also check out some videos of the band jamming on their official website, and check out their MySpace for some older (but no less awesome) tunes.

they have been playing these guys on XM satelite for at least a year now and i thought everything I heard by them was good stuff, nice to see them popping up in some more places.
a lotta talent in the ‘naut. way, way underappreciated.
good to see them finaly getting some attention
Awesome band.
Thanks for posting the MP3 – I downloaded it at home and promptly forgot to actually, you know, LISTEN to it.
Man, this is a great track.
Sick, you guys are giving me new shit to listen to every week! And for that I am ever grateful. All Hail the Suck that is Metal!
I won’t listen to them until I find out if this song is about Australopithecus Africanus, Afarensis or Robustus.
Mmmm…it’s always good to have some biological anthropology humor on metal blog. I’m sure it’ll go over about as well as a Klan member at the million man march.
Damn you Manny! Now I gotta go look up a bunch of new words.
This band seems like it would be too bombastic for CM. Good stuff anyway, hopefully they’ll get somewhere.
