A part of me wouldn’t hesitate to believe that Mike Patton wasn’t being serious, seeing as he later/earlier on (in the same Rage episode even) said he was a huge fan of the genius that is Wolfmother. Mike Patton is known for confusing and pulling people’s legs out of sheer self amusement.

In simple math terms, my verdict remains: MP > Wolfmother

Seriously, we’ve all heard Led Zeppelin, a million times over, and we’ve heard Wolfmother, a rip off band that imo sucks. You can say Patton was being hypocritical when he said what year is this, but honestly, as I’ve already said, we’ve heard Zeppelin a million times over, but how much 60′s Italian music have you heard. It hasn’t been played, plaguerized to death, and run into the ground.

I’m from Sydney Australia. Wolf mothers home town. I couldn’t be happier….
Those over rated riff thieves got far more exposure than their plagiarism deserved.
All they did was show unimaginative wannabes that all you have to do to make it in music is to take some popular songs from some popular bands that existed 20 years ago, mash them together and the masses will gag it down like it’s the next best innovation in music… Come on.
I really don’t understand how it happened… All you have to do is play ‘Woman’ next to the Doors’ ‘Road house blues’ to see what I mean. It’s no great stretch. Then get a singer who can sound like Robert Plant (Led Zeppelin for you young players) and voila.
Hopefully they will clear out some room for bands with real talent.

Okay, to the kid who said Patton looks like he smokes Crystal, have you seen old boy without a shirt on? Hes in better shape than gaurrented the lot of us so that comment plainly showed your ignorance. Secondly, Wolfmother fucking SUCKS. It doesnt matter that they arent metal, theyre just a terrible band, much like ninety percent of the Kemado roster of bands. Its music for useless hipsters who do nothing but wait for the next saddeningly talentless group of people to latch onto in order to brag about being into them BEFORE it was cool. It begs to be asked, why cant we have a collective cultural cleansing? These people obviously annoy the shit out of ALMOST everyone, why not get rid of them and pawn them off onto the Chinese or the French?

I have never been that big a Faith No More fan, nor can I do the orchestral thing for long periods, but man that Italian orchestra with Patton fronting it (or middling, if you want to get all semantic) is very entertaining. And his talent is amazing.

Wolfmother arent even considered Metal in their home country (australia). Their more over just a shitty hard rock band. I say good riddance to them.
