So you may have heard that Hatebreed have a live DVD, Live Dominance, coming out on September 2 (produced by that Josh Wilbur guy!), and they’re actually doing something pretty cool to promote it: between now and August 25, you can download four mp3s of songs performed on the DVD for free on the band’s website. Since the songs are four of Hatebreed’s catchiest – “This is Now,” “Destroy Everything,” “Live for This” and “I Will Be Heard” – that’s a pretty nifty deal. If you don’t download the four tracks for free before August 25, you can purchase ‘em on iTunes (as is so often the case with audio tracks from live DVDs these days).
Not really a lot of jokes I can make here. I will say that I’m skeptical about any kind of Hatebreed live album/DVD; it’s fun to be at a Hatebreed show, but it’s not like we’re gonna get a fifteen minute jam-version of “Healing to Suffer Again” or something. There’s been a lot of talk about Vinnie Paul directing the DVD, but I wanna see something Vinnie Paul directed like I wanna listen to Hellyeah. But so long as I ain’t paying for these tracks, I’ll give ‘em a shot.

I’m a Hatebreed fan, although i’ve only ever seen them in a festival setting and you dont really get the intensity there. This live DVD sounds like a cracker, so i’ll pick it up for sure.
It’s impossible to not love Hatebreed. It’s that simple.
